Gesture Ring is a 447 mm ring with a Leap Motion hand tracker in its stem and a full-colour LED halo inside. Guests put a hand through it and steer content, light and sound without touching anything.

Light that follows your hand.
The LED strip sits flush in a groove on the inside of the ring, behind a silicone diffuser, so the light reads as one smooth line. It can wash the whole ring in one colour, fill a progress arc, or chase the position of your hand.

Anatomy
One ring. Four ideas.
Dimensions from the production drawing. The ring and stem are printed as one piece, so there are no seams where a hand passes through.
1Printed ring and stem
Laser-sintered in one piece and infiltrated with synthetic resin for a smooth, hard-wearing surface.
2LED halo
A full-colour LED strip set flush in a 16 mm groove behind a silicone diffuser. One clean line of light, no visible dots.
3Leap Motion tracker
Sits in the stem and looks up into the ring, tracking hands and fingers inside the Ø387 mm opening.
4Aluminium tube mount
The stem slides 75 mm over a Ø45 mm tube, so the ring stands on a floor base, a plinth or a wall arm.
